Foundry34 launch their new website

Thursday, February 26th, 2009

We just can’t help ourselves. Even though we only redesigned our website a few months ago we have completely redeveloped and designed the whole of the website, giving it a fresh feel but also an increased focus on you- our clients. We will be regularly featuring articles on companies we have worked with to give a picture of how a huge variety of sectors are making marketing and design work for them and to show how our work makes real impacts on their businesses. We have also added a lot more examples of work to the site to give you and any prospective clients a flavour of the kind of work we do as well as background information on us, our history, ethical policy and recruitment.

We are experienced enough to know that there is no substitute for feedback so we would love to hear your opinions; like the site? Hate it? Something annoying? Something useful you’d like to see? Let us know and we promise we’ll get back to you.

Safer Clubbing Graphic Design

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

Not every job has to be big to be rewarding and not all advertising is about selling products. Foundry34 recently worked on the Safer Clubbing campaign with two UK charities- Lifeline and Turning Point. The brief was simple- design a set of club flyers and posters to be distributed throughout Newcastle giving harm minimisation messages for those clubbers using or tempted to use drugs. We were more than happy to help, the two organisations clearly very experienced in this area providing us with the relevant content leaving Foundry34 to work on some back to basics graphic design; appropriate visuals and clearly presented information.

Creative industries to fire the North East Economy

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008

With the death knell firmly sounded for the region’s heavy industries and coal no longer the fuel for the North East’s economy, the creative industries are the hot topic on everybody’s lips. In once run-down areas creative businesses are springing up, from fairly conventional graphic design and web design companies, to digital specialists and 3D animation studios. With the need to physically transport goods replaced by super fast delivery through high-speed broadband connections these new businesses can compete with businesses in any part of the country or even the world. The impact that these businesses can have is two-fold; they contribute in terms of their own operations by being employers and injecting much needed cash into areas, they also bring an expertise to aid other start-up companies and existing businesses whether this be in developing new services or products or providing routes to promoting their businesses and retail. This development has not gone unnoticed with organisations such as Nstar offering their creative fund as well as OneNorthEast focussing on developing the creative industries. It seems the North east may once again have a world class product to export.
